I think this is so cool. I can see having this in my front yard with some great music and a computerized display. We are working on a display for next year, and I want this piece for my front yard or maybe on the roof. I have seen the inflatable which is much cheaper but I think in the long run I will be happier with this Santa on motorcycle.

Christmas Light Displays Amazing Job

This display was the work of Carson Williams, a Mason, Ohio, electrical engineer who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that controlled the 16,000 Christmas lights in his annual holiday lighting spectacular (from Christmas 2004). His 2005 display includes over 25,000 lights that he spent nearly two months and $10,000 to hook up. So that the Williams' neighbors aren't disturbed by constant noise, viewers driving by the house are informed by signs to tune in to a signal broadcast over a low-power FM radio station to hear the musical accompaniment.

Mr. Williams has posted instructions for recreating his "Wizard in Winter" sequencing, and another of his choreographed Christmas light music shows can be viewed here.

The Christmas displays remind us of our child hood and the excitement of Christmas. Each year with the advent of computer operated light systems they become more beautiful and hi tech. I love them but sometimes a string of old fashioned red and green lights catches my eye and brings memories of Christmas past. This is a beautiful display in Ohio.

The Lindsay family from Canada sets up a beautiful Christmas Light display each year.This video is their 2006 display, the 2007 will be smaller about 1/4 the size. Each Christmas I enjoy the excitement seeing all the outdoor Christmas decorations and Christmas light displays. With the computer assisted displays they are more elaborate and more beautiful each year. The Internet makes it possible to see Christmas displays in places we may not be able to go.
